What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates. It emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.

Who does Pilates?

Pilates is great as an exercise method because it works so well for a diverse range of people including athletes, dancers, as well as older people or women who would like to get back into shape after pregnancy. Pilates is for everyone.

What are the benefits of doing Pilates?

Well each person’s response to this question is different but from first-hand experience after doing Pilates exercise you become stronger, leaner and more graceful. Pilates is a compliment to any other sport.

You will feel my passion for authentic Pilates through my teaching and learn to love Pilates as much as I do because I will help you understand it. You get the benefit of my experience and background in Yoga, Physical Training and I offer credibility through my Advanced Classical Pilates Instructor (3rd Generation) qualification obtained through www.classicalpilates.net 

Please note I do not mix disciplines.  I teach Iyengar Yoga in the Iyengar Yoga Class and I teach Classical Pilates in the Pilates Class. I am passionate about both of these disciplines.
